Glabellar Lines

Do not use BOTOX® Cosmetic if you are: allergic to any of the ingredients in BOTOX® Cosmetic such as botulinum toxin type A and human serum albumin; had an allergic reaction to another botulinum toxin product such as Myobloc® (rimabotulinumtoxinB), Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxinA), or Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA); or have a skin infection at the planned injection site.

What Should I Tell My Doctor Before Treatment?

Tell your doctor about all your muscle or nerve conditions, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease), myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, as you may be at increased risk of serious side effects.

Tell your doctor if you have or have had bleeding issues; plan to or have had surgery; have forehead muscle weakness such as trouble raising your eyebrows; drooping eyelids; or any changes to your face.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, are breastfeeding or plan to breast feed. It is not known if BOTOX® Cosmetic can harm your unborn baby or if BOTOX® Cosmetic passes into breast milk.

What Are Common Side Effects?

The most common side effects include temporary injection site pain; weakening of adjacent facial muscles; drooping eyelids; swelling eyelids; and headache. Other side effects, while less common, have been reported including blurred vision, double vision and allergic reactions (itching, rash, red itchy welts, wheezing, asthma symptoms, dizziness or feeling faint).

These are not all of the possible side effects. Call your doctor for medical advice if you experience any side effects after treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic.

XEOMIN® contains botulinum toxin type A, a protein purified from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

Botulinum toxin type A acts on nerve endings in muscles to prevent muscle fibers from contracting. By reducing these contractions, XEOMIN® can temporarily reduce the lines on your forehead between your brows.

XEOMIN® was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in July 2011. It is now widely available to patients across the US.

The median first onset of XEOMIN® effect occurs within 7 days of injection. Maximum effect typically occurs at 30 days. The typical duration of effect is up to 3 months, but may last significantly longer or shorter in individual patients.

Belotero Balance®

BELOTERO_Balance_logo_P151 2BELOTERO BALANCE is an injectable filler that is used to smooth moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles on your face.  Upon injection, it quickly and evenly integrates into your skin.

BELOTERO BALANCE is made of a material called hyaluronic acid, also known as HA, that comes in the form of a smooth gel. When it is injected beneath the skin, it fills in small gaps in the tissue. This smoothes the wrinkles, folds, and lines, for immediate correction that looks and feels natural.

May last about 6 months or more.  Some factors that affect how long it lasts are the amount of product used and the area it is injected into. In areas that experience a lot of movement due to eating, talking, and smiling, the product may not last as long as other less active areas.

Just as wrinkles and folds vary from face to face, so does the amount of BELOTERO BALANCE needed per treatment. It’s very individual, depending on the amount of correction desired, the number of areas to be treated, and other factors. We can estimate better once we have a consultation about your individual needs.

BELOTERO BALANCE is FDA-approved and has undergone testing in a clinical study to prove its safety.  Hyaluronic acid products for skin correction have been available for a long time and used in thousands of treatments.
